Chilean station heard on this DXpedition was
identified with some surprising new name. As
of writing this, no sign of Radio Panamericana
having launched here or moved to this frequency
can be found on the internet. The (old) frequency
of 1420 AM was even announced in an ID heard
on 1330 AM, so probably 1330 is just relaying
1420. The station used the slogan "Una
nueva voz de esperanza para Chile". |

This is a quirky station, because it has never
been listed in the WRTH, as far as I know.
However, it has apparently operated on 1490
AM since 2011. In 2019 it was supposed to
become FM only (100.5 MHz), but has obviously
all along continued broadcasts on the AM band
as well. The AM frequency continues to be
shown both on its website and its super popular
Facebook page, which recently changed from
https://www.facebook.com/radiosuperfmbh to
https://www.facebook.com/radiosuper100.5fm.
The FM prefix is listed as ZYN209, but the
AM prefix is nowhere to be found. This is
a Christian station owned by Igreja Batista
da Lagoinha. After many attempts to contact
the station I finally received a proper verification
from its Instagram account.
