AIH29 DXpedition Log (UNFINISHED)

Cannibal Radio, Athens, a pirate station. Many thanks to Zacharias Liangas for contacting the station and obtaining a verification!
1044 23.10.

a Greek pirate, perhaps a station called "Daffy" according to Zach's research, playing just non-stop music
1233 21.9. 0200 Radio Dechovka, Prague, is of course a common station, but listed here as this was the first opportunity for me to catch the ID. Heard on a daily basis on our 160-degree wire.
1350 3.11. 0400 Danko Radio, Györ, a rebranded and renamed Hungarian station

 Iberia
kHz: day.month. time UTC: station, comments:
558 23.10. 0525 RNE5 Comunidad Valenciana, Valencia
612 30.10. 0625 RNE1 Catalunya, Lérida-Lleida (I'm including both the Spanish and Catalan names of the Catalonian locations)
621 6.11. 0650 RNE1 Illes Balears, Palma de Mallorca, with a regional break in Mallorquin, a dialect of the Catalan language
801 23.10. 0525 RNE1 Catalunya, Gerona-Girona
936 23.10.
30.10.
0525
1830
RNE5 Comunidad Valenciana, Alicante
972 22.10. 0550 RNE1 Andalucia, Cabra. After I arrived home, I noticed that I had accidentally deleted the sound file containing this ID. Oh well, what's another 25 years of hunting for this one station, just gotta keep on listening to this frequency...
1008 28.10. 2158 SER Radio Gerona, Gerona-Girona. This catch might partly make up for the loss of the previous one. Groot Nieuws is bad news for this frequency, but luckily the host was holding his breath when Gerona identified.
1125 30.10. 1830 RNE5 Comunidad Valenciana, Castellón
1134 6.11. 0557 COPE Puertollano. Gracias Mauricio por escuchar a esta ID!

RNE5 Catalunya, Lérida-Lleida. On November 5th with a local break at 0745 UTC.
1269 24.10.
29.10.
0427,2155
0625
COPE Figueras-Figueres. Gracias Mauricio for confirming the local ID! Logged also with Catalunya regional programming on Oct. 29th, when the fairly uncommon 1143 COPE Reus was heard with the same regional program.
1485 7.11. 2255 COPE Vilanova, with a regional break: "COPE Cataluña y Andorra". This is the former Punto Radio transmitter. Gracias Mauricio for explaining the history of the station! Initially I was baffled to hear a COPE ID here.

Note: As with all continents, only rarities are listed. Another 100+ Spanish stations would have been available as well. Iberia (Spain, Portugal, Azores, Gibraltar & Andorra) counting as a separate continent is a Finnish DXers' quirk, underscoring Iberia's traditionally strong status in Nordic DXing and the distinctive character of its broadcasting scene.

 Africa

Nei Menggu is greatly expanding this service: A total of 52 new AM transmitters have become operational in 2012-2013, and several of them are on this frequency - this info was found by Alan Davies. The Chinese ID goes like this "Nei Menggu Renmin Guangbo Diantai, Nongcun Muqu Guangbo, Luye zhi Sheng" - Rural and Pastoral Service, Voice of the Green. The English-language ID was more difficult to comprehend, but seems to be "Grazing Radio".

702 21.9. -1700 Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kiashahr, ending a program in Azeri. Surprisingly, all contact info was given for Tabriz Radio, so this sounded like a regionally produced program.
