AIH85 DXpedition Log - INCOMPLETE
September 15-22, 2018
(and automated recordings until Sept. 29)

 Europe (excluding Iberia)
kHz: day.month. time UTC: station, comments:

 Iberia
kHz: day.month. time UTC: station, comments:

Note: As with all continents, only rarities are listed. Another 100+ Spanish stations would have been available as well. Iberia (Spain, Portugal, Azores, Gibraltar & Andorra) counting as a separate continent is a Finnish DXers' quirk, underscoring Iberia's traditionally strong status in Nordic DXing and the distinctive character of its broadcasting scene.

 Africa
kHz: day.month. time UTC: station, comments:

 Asia
kHz: day.month. time UTC: station, comments:

603 18.9. 2001 DZVV Vigan, belongs to Bombo Radyo

693 16.9. 1801 Sun Kan Thahan Ma, Saraburi
693 18.9. 1934 DXBC Butuan City. No ID, but an announcement for its "Sugat" program.
711 18.9. 2006 + DZVR Laoag, with Bombo Radyo programming: "Ito an Bombo Radyo Laoag ..."
801 27.9. 2031 + DZNC Cauayan, with local Bombo Radyo programming

864 18.9. 2130 + DZIP Puerto Princesa was a total surprise. I expected the station to be off the air, but then I heard a fabulous "Radio Palaweño" ID just as a strong Egyptian station on the same frequency was transmitting dead air. Perfect timing, for once.

900 18.9. 2000- DYOW Roxas City, signing on with the national anthem, and identifying both with call letters and slogan "Bombo Radyo Roxas".
909 18.9. 2106 + DYSP Puerto Princesa, with "Dok Alternatibo" program.
909 18.9. 2126 + DZEA Laoag City, with morning news (balita) at this time.
927 18.9. 2200 + Zhujiang EBS, Zhanjiang GD. The slogan "Pearl Radio" was announced in English, but otherwise the ID and programming were in Cantonese. Simulcasting with 1062 AM, which of course is the strongest transmitter of this station. Audio on 927 AM was lagging 10 seconds behind 1062 AM.

963 18.9. 2100 DZNS Vigan
981 18.9. 1935 DWMT Naga City, relaying DZRH-666
980.9366v 18.9. 2128 DZRD Dagupan City, "DZRD Sonshine Radyo 981 kiloherz".
990 17.9. -1606 Sor Wor Phor, Nakhon Ratchasima

1052.9995 17.9. -1813 Radio Pakistan, Larkana. Relaying Karachi at times, but gave a neat local ID before signing off.
1080 18.9. 2100 + DXKS Suragao City, with a proper local ID at the start of the broadcast day.
1143 18.9. 2000 + Hubei PBS Rural Service (Nongcun Guangbo), Changchun HB
1170 18.9. 2103

+ DXMR Zamboanga City, listed all the stations of the Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS)

1170 18.9. 2200 Bayannur PBS General Service (Zonghe Guangbo), Linhe NM. In the ID the station mentioned only the frequency of 107 FM.
1187.9845 18.9. 2115 RRI Manado
1197 20.9. 1959 JOBF RKK Kumamoto

1215 17.9. 1700 Radio Thailand, Surat Thani

1287 15.9. 1708 Bangladesh Betar, Barishal, giving a local ID at this time after national news from Dhaka
1323 20.9. 2000 JOTK NHK1 Matsue via Getsu
1332 15.9. 2102 DWAY Cabanatuan City, "Sonshine Radio". No ID, but good excerpts of programming. Thanks to Philippine radio professionals, who presumed it to be DWAY, I sent a tentative report, which was promptly verified by the station.

1395 18.9. 2105- DZVT San Jose turned the transmitter on in the middle of its programming. This Catholic station is listed with 5 kW of power, but according to its engineer the actual power is just 1 kW.
1395 20.9. 1959 JOWE RFC Radio Fukushima, Aizu-Wakamatsu
1431 20.9. 1959 JOHL San'in Hoso, Tottori/Izumo
1449 18.9. 2100 Fujian PBS News General Service (Xinwen Zonghe Guangbo), Dongshan FJ, finally heard after being years on my watch list
1467 18.9. 2101- + DXVP Zamboanga, signing on with the national anthem. According to the sign-on ID, the station operates from 5 am to only 7 pm (1100 UTC), so it would be an extremely difficult catch before sign-off.
1494 18.9. 2101 + DXOC Ozamiz City, giving a full list of Radio Asenso stations.
1512 18.9. 2117 DZAT Lucena City, promoting its "Prayer Power" program
1548 18.9. 2100 DZSD Dagupan City, relaying DZBB-594

1584 16.9. 1600 JOBK NHK1 Osaka via Kasumi // 666 JOBK-ID

 Australia & Oceania

3WV ABC Western Victoria, Horsham Vic.
612 21.9. 2100 6RN ABC Dalwallinu WA
855 16.9. 1659 4QB/4QO ABC Wide Bay, Eidsvold/Pialba-Dundowran QLD, with the Overnight show
1017 18.9. 1643 2KY Sky Sports Radio, Sydney NSW
1134 18.9. 1937 3CS Colac Vic., no ID, but a spot for the Colac Pharmacy
1197 18.9. 2000 5RPH Adelaide SA, relaying BBC World Service. The station rebroadcasts BBC from 11:30 pm (1400 UTC) to 6:30 am (2100 UTC) without any local identifications in between - but I'm unsure if the same schedule applies when DST is in effect from Oct 6 to April 7.

1431 16.9. 1700 2RN ABC Radio National, Wollongong NSW
