Bolivian
shortwave station heard on 5680 kHz
A station which was initially
reported as Radio San Rafael from San Rafael in
Departamento de Cochabamba, appears to have been
Radio La Voz del Campesino from Sipe Sipe on a new
frequency. "Radio San Rafael" was first
reported heard on 5680.7 kHz shortwave on March
11 by Nicolas Eramo in Argentina. Subsequent listening
has not resulted with similar station identifications,
instead Eramo has heard a station in Aymara talking
about Sipe Sipe, presumably being Radio La Voz del
Campesino. The WRTH lists Radio La Voz del Campesino
on 6537 kHz shortwave, while CP68 Radio San Rafael
is listed on 1310 kHz mediumwave with a power of
10 kW, located at Calle Calama E-0315 (or Casilla
546), in Cochabamba. According to the WRTH, Radio
San Rafael broadcasts in Aymara and Quechua at 0900-1100
and 2300-0200 UTC.
