New stations in Argentina
on 740, 1410, 1490, 1590 and 1600 kHz
Radio
La Carretera is a new station on 740 kHz from the
town of Allen in Argentina. Radio La Carretera can
be reached by email,
by phone at 02941 454000 or by writing to Ruta 22
Km 1200, 8328 Allen, Provincia de Río Negro,
Argentina. Information about the station was first
published by Alejandro Alvarez on ConDig mailing
list on June 17. Alvarez heard the first test transmission
on June 16, and he says that the truckers' station
belongs to Sindicato de Camioneros de Río
Negro.
Radio Cope is a new
station on 1410 kHz, first reported by Arnaldo Slaen
on ConDig mailing list on May 30. The station is
located in the town of Chivilcoy, and had begun
broadcasts already a couple of months earlier.
Radio Unidad is a non-licensed
Christian station broadcasting on 1490 kHz in the
Buenos Aires area. Years ago the station operated
on 1660 kHz, and then fell silent. Radio Unidad
simulcasts on 94.1 MHz FM, and operates also a TV
station. Radio Unidad is run by pastors Lázaro
Oscar Díaz and his spouse Alicia del Carmen
Veliz, who belong to the Iglesia Internacional Unidos
en el Amor de Jesús. The station can be found
at Calle J.B. Molina 830, José Mármol,
Partido de Almirante Brown, Provincia de Buenos
Aires. The telephone number is (011) 4291-2544.
Information about reactivation on the new frequency
was first published by Marcelo A. Cornachioni on
the ConDig mailing list on June 19.
La
Radio de la Región is a new unofficial station
on 1590 kHz, broadcasting from the town of Dolores
near Buenos Aires. You can write to the station
at Calle Faustino Brughetti 1392, Dolores, Provincia
de Buenos Aires. The phone number is (02245) 443131.
La Radio de la Región is part of the same
company as Radio Dolores, which used to operate
on 1480 AM, but is nowadays only on FM. The station
is owned by Silverio Horacio Burgeño, and
the AM signal is said to be a retransmission of
the FM station LRI-434 Radio Dolores (94.9 MHz).
La Radio de la Región was first reported
heard by Marcelo A. Cornachioni on ConDig mailing
list on May 29.
Finally, Region Centro
is one more unofficial station, broadcasting on
1600 kHz from Montes de Oca, Departamento Belgrano,
Provincia de Santa Fé. Región Centro
is headed by Matías Torres, who is also director
for Frecuencia Mutual (104.1 FM) in Rosario, and
Canal 29 "Aire Mutual". This station was
reported by Marcelo A. Cornachioni on ConDig mailing
list on June 1.
