Café Radio new from Peru on 6060 kHz shortwave
A new Peruvian station has been
logged on the frequency of 6060 kHz in the 49 meter
shortwave band. Aroma Café
Radio from Distrito de Pichanaki, Provincia de Chanchamayo,
Departamento de Junín, is relaying its FM
programming, announcing the frequency of 106.9 MHz
and call letters OAK4K. The station was first
heard by Pedro F. Arrunátegui in Peru on
December 12, and reported in Chasqui DX bulletin.
Arrunátegui measured the exact frequency
as 6059.99 kHz. He monitored the morning sign-on
time to be after 1100 UTC, and estimates the evening
sign-off time to be at 2200 UTC.
